We’ve been getting nostalgic lately, going back through the archives and remembering our previous Australian SOTYs on a Throwback Thursday. This week, we’re throwing it back to the glory of Alex Lawton, who took out the award in 2018.

The now Poolroom pro spent much of his lead up year to SOTY travelling and filming, hitting spots from Barcelona to Manila to Melbourne. He initially went pro for Element in December 2017, copping a pro board surprise at a Melbourne bar, and a few months later won SOTY. Re-live some of the glory below.
